This maternity nightgown was inspired by my own experiences as a plus size mother-to-be. In the last stages of pregnancy I felt fat, tired and my pregnant 'glow' had got up and gone. I needed something to give me a lift and make me feel good, to feel just a little bit feminine. After my son was born I had great difficulty finding anything I could wear that would let me feed him without being virtually naked - and while I loved to feed him, I couldn't do it in public. I spent hours with his shawl draped across me - hence this nightgown is full in front with plenty of 'bump' room and the ribbon straps make access easy. There is a matching jacket which is just as practical - you can sit and feed your baby with his head covered lightly by the jacket, looking serene and beautiful.
