If you were a color, what color would you be?

Why do we wear what we do? Why do we choose the decor for a room and then months later want to change it? Why do we find some rooms restful while other have the opposite effect? Why are some colors perfect for winter, but completely inappropriate in Summer? Why are some ideal for New York, but wrong for Los Angeles?
Pyschologists have found that color has a profound effect on us – the right colors can fill us with calm and wellbeing or power and confidence, while the wrong colors can induce anger, frustration and stress.
Color is a question of fact, but they way we perceive color, the way it makes us feel, is purely subjective. In the 1940’s Dr Luscher, a swiss psychologist, began to use this to determine the psychological state of his patients by investigating their reaction to color. He found that color could not only provide insight into a persons character and current emotional state, but the application of color could provide therapy and influence, a fact which advertising companies and marketing departments soon exploited. Just as the colors of the walls and furnishings around us influence our lives, the colors we wear influence the way we feel and the signals we send other people.
The questions below are based on a system which has been tested with 10’s of thousands of individuals. The answer to each question is a color, and each answer builds to create a profile which, can provide some useful personality insights as well as giving you the information you need to make the right color choices. Over 100 combinations are possible, giving a result far more individual than simply being dubbed ‘an autumn’ or ‘a spring’. When answering the questions it is important not to think!  The first, instinctive answer to the question is likely to give the most accurate results. There are no rights or wrongs and your answers to some questions will vary from day to day, but overall it is possible to build up a picture of you which will help you feel better, express yourself correctly and improve both your self-image and the image you project. Note that there are no colors to view – the idea is not to test how you respond to colors, but what colors mean to you. Answer the questions quickly and instinctively for the most accurate results.

Description

Based on the work of Dr Luscher, a swiss psychologist, and the works of Dorothee Mella, our color analysis is a fun and interesting way to find the answers to questions like 'what color shall I buy'. While it's fine to be a Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, it seems odd to label so many people in only four ways.  This test provides far more possible combinations - and of course it's free, the resulting report will be emailed to you.
